Description:
Erect herbs with trailing branches; stems terete, puberulus. Leaves to 8 x 3 cm, oblanceolate, acuminate, attenuate at base, puberulus below, hirtus above; petiole 2-3 cm long. Spikes axillary and terminal, up to 7 x 1 cm, cylindrical; bracts 13 x 3 mm, oblanceolate, hirtus; bracteoles smaller, linear. Flowers few; sepals 5, unequal, linear, hirtus; corolla 5 mm long, tube short, upper part broad, 2-lipped; stamens 4, unequal, free; anthers divaricate, hairy; staminode one; ovary oblong, glabrous; style linear, glabrous, stigma 2-lobbed. Capsule 4 mm long, oblong; seeds 8-10 pairs, brown, rugose; retinacula absent.
