  Description: Shrubs, to 75 cm high much branched, stellate hairy; princkles flattened, sharp, 5-12 mm long. Leaves alternate, 2.5 - 22 x 1.8 - 13.5 cm, sinuate or lobed, ovate, acute apex, cordate at base, adaxial surface pubescent and abaxial surface stellate; lateral veins 6-8 paris, long sharp thorns on the veins; petiole 0.5 cm long. Flowers in 4-8 flowered cymes; pedicels to 6 mm long. Calyx green, 5 lobed, lobes 3-4 x 1-2 mm, lanceolate or ovate, acute apex, base attenuate, ciliate along the margin, prickly, densely pubescent. Corolla yellowish-white with green at the base, lobes 7 x 1-2 mm, lanceolate, acute or acuminate apex, margin ciliate, pubescent. Anthers basifixed, glabrous, 7-8 mm long; filament very small. Ovary glabrous, pubescent; style slender, glabrous. Fruit globose, ca 2 cm across, green with white stripe when young and become yellow when they ripe, glabrous; seeds ovate or disc shaped, smooth, entire, 3 mm across.
