Description:
An evergreen twining shrubs without tendrils or aerial roots; branches terete, glabrous. Leaves opposite, odd-pinnate; petioles 4 cm long; leaflets 3-7, usually 5, 5-8 x 2-2.5 cm, ovate-lanceolate, coriaceous, entire, green; paired leaflets subsessile; odd leaflet with petiolule 1.3-1.5 cm long. Inflorescence of terminal many-flowered, corymbose panicles. Flowers 2.5 x 3.5 cm across. Calyx truncate, 7 x 5 mm, obscurely lobed, glabrous. Corolla tubular-campanulate, with 5 sub-orbicular, wavy lobes, pinkish with purplish hairy throat. Stamens 4, didynamous; filaments 1 cm and 1.5 cm long each, curved, hairy at the base; anther cell 2, divergent. Ovary compressed, 4 x 3 mm glabrous, seated on a 5-ridged disc, 2-celled, with numerous ovules on axile placentae; style 1-5 cm long, white; stigma 2-lobed, lobes flattened.
