  Description: Bulbous herbs; bulbs to 5 cm across, globose. Leaves 12-22 x 1-2 cm, linear-lanceolate, flat, narrow at base, apex subacute, thin-coriaceous, glabrous. Flowers 2-8, in scapose umbels, white, c. 3 cm across; scape to 40 cm tall; spathes 2, membranous, ovate; pedicel short. Perianth funnel-shaped; tube to 2 cm long; lobes 6, c. 2 cm long, linear, reflexed. Stamens 6; filaments to 2 cm long, connate at base into a petaloid, 2-dentate, membranous cup. Ovary 5-6 mm long, oblong, 3-locular; ovules many; style filiform, to 1.5 cm long; stigma capitate. Capsule subglobose.
