Description:
Diffuse or erect undershrubs; stem stout, 4-angled. Leaves opposite, oblong-lanceate or elliptic-lanceate, 7-13 by 2-3.5 cm, base and apex acuminate, lateral veins faint, chartaceous; stipules glandular pectinate. Cymes sessile, axillary, ca 2.5 m long. Flowers crowded, very dense. Calyx-lobes foliaceous. Corolla cream coloured. Capsule obconical, c. 3 mm; seeds pitted.
