Description:
Scapigerous herbs; stem very short, puberulous. Leaves elliptic-ovate, 4-12 by 2-5.5 cm, base sublyrate, decurrent, margin subentire, apex subacute, non lineolate, chartaceous; petiole c.3 cm long, scape to 25 cm long, sharply 4-angled (4-winged). Cymes condensed, forming false raceme; corolla pale purple. Capsule oblong, cylindric, c. 2 cm long. Seeds c. 14, punctate.
