Description:
Erect herbs; branchlets winged. Leaves simple, alternate, lanceate to oblong, 3-7 by 0.7-1 cm, base cuneate, decurrent, margin faintly dentate, apex acute, coriaceous. Capitula heterogamous, disciform, 1-3 in terminal clusters; bracts many seriate, scarious; florets pink to purple, outer florets female, inner bisexual; pappus 0; corolla tubular; stamens 5, included . Ovary linearly oblong. Cypsella oblong.
