Description:
Pubescent shrubs. Leaves to 6.5 x 2.5 cm, elliptic, apex acute, base decurrent on the petiole pubescent, petiole 1 cm. Cymes axillary, dense; flowers pink; bracts 1.2 cm, linear, ciliate; calyx lobes dissimilar, outer two larger, elliptic, many nerved from base, scarious, spine tipped along the margins, inner two 7 x 2 mm, oblong, ciliate; corolla 4 cm across, pink, filaments 2 cm long. Capsule 14 mm, oblong.
