  Description: Subshrubs; stem obtusely quadrangular, tomentose. Leaves to 3 x 1 cm, obovate, acute, cuneate at base, nearly sessile, densely tomentose. Spikes 5 cm long, 0.8 cm broad, many, terminal and upper axillary, peduncled; bracts 3 mm long, ovate. Flowers many; calyx 4 mm long, very densely hairy, upper lip declinate, closing the mouth; corolla 4 mm long; upper lip entire, concave; lower lip acutely 4-lobed, white; filaments glabrous. Nutlets mucilaginous when wet, trigonous, smooth, brown.
