Description:
Prostrate herbs. Leaves alternate, 0.8-1.5 x 0.5-1 cm, elliptic-obovate, base attenuate, apex emarginated and apiculate; petiole to 0.8 cm. Flower clusters axillary; bracts ovate-lanceolate, 1 mm, midrib prominent, acute; bracteoles lanceolate, 1.5 mm, midrib prominent, shortly excurrent. Male 2 mm across. Tepals 3, equal, spreading, lanceolate, folded, 2.5 mm, midrib green, minutely excurrent. Stamens 3; filaments 1 mm; anthers oblong, 0.8 mm. Female 1 mm across. Tepals 3, oblong-lanceolate, 1.5 mm, midrib prominent, vittae green, strongly excurrent into a short awn. Ovary oblong-globose, 1.2 mm; style 3, spreading, 0.3 mm. Utricle subglobose, 2 mm, dehiscent or not, rugose; seed orbicular, 1 mm across; testa shiny.
