Description:
Perennials. Culms tufted, erect, to 60 cm high. Leaves to 30 cm long, 0.3-0.4 cm wide. Spikelets distant, many-flowered, 0.8-1.1 cm long, lanceolate. Lower glume asymmetrical, 0.3-0.4 cm long. Upper glume 0.4-0.5 cm long. Lemma 0.4-0.5 cm long, 2-fid at tip, awned from the sinus; awn 0.2-0.3 cm long. Palea narrowly winged, ciliolate on the margins.
