  Description: Scabrid climbing herbs; tendrils 2-fid. Leaves up to 19 x 17.2 cm, orbicular-cordate, deeply or shallowly 3-5-lobed, margin dentate. Male flowers in axillary racemes; bracts ovate, often purple. Calyx tube to 6.2 cm, lobes lanceolate. Corolla lobes ovate, yellow, fimbriate. Stamens 3. Female flowers solitary. Berries c. 7 cm across, globose, red with orange streaks.
