Description:
Erect shrubs up to 6 m high, sparsely branched; branches usually drooping, young parts villous, bark blackish- brown when mature. Leaves pinnate, up to 35 cm long; leaflets 3.5-12 x 1-3 cm, oblanceolate, elliptic-oblong, lanceolate, acuminate, base narrowed, glabrous above, adpressed hairy beneath when young; stipules linear-lanceolate, 1.5-2.5 cm long. Racemes up to 10 cm long, upcurved; flowers 2-2.5 cm long, white. Calyx lobes obscure, slightly saccate at base. Petals white, ca. 2 cm long. Pods 10-15 cm long, drooping, constricted between seeds; seeds 3-7 .
