Description:
Herbs, to 30 cm high; stem minutely striate, reddish. Leaves to 4 x 2.2 cm, elliptic, acute at apex; attenuate at base; sharply serrate; petiole 1-2 cm long, reddish. Peduncles 3 cm long, 3-5-flowered. Flowers 2.5 cm across; pedicles 1 cm long; sepals triangular, with a black gland at apex; petals 13 x 10 mm, obovate, acute, pink; anthers 6 mm long, bottle-shaped, acuminate. Capsule 10 mm long, obovoid; seeds 0.8 mm long, dark brown.
