Description:
Stout undershrubs, stems densely covered with fulvous hairs, prickles on stem 8 mm long, 5 mm broad, stout, straight. Leaves 12 x 8 cm, shallowly lyrate, densely pubescent above and below; prickles 1 cm long, narrow, sharp, straight; stellate hairs unequally armed with one erect longer arm. Flowers 12 mm across, 4-8 together, in axillary racemes; pedicels 1 cm long, densely pubescent; corolla blue, thinly tomentose outside. Berry glabrous.
