Description:
Slender, herbaceous perennial twiners; stem appressed-pubescent when young, glabrous afterwards. Leaves alternate, 3-10 x 3-8 cm, ovate, acuminate, base cordate, pilose; petiole 2-5 cm long. Flowers in axillary racemes, often combined into a lax panicle; lower bracts leaf-like, with a semi-amplexicaul base; upper ones subulate; pedicels 0.3-0.6 cm long. Calyx-segments 0.15-0.25 cm long, linear-lanceolate, thinly hairy, enlarged in fruiting, up to 2 cm long. Corolla white, 0.8-1 cm long, glabrous, lobes 5, ovate, acute. Stamens included. Style well-developed; stigma shortly bilobed. Capsule 8 mm long, ovoid; seeds 6 mm long, oblong, reddish-brown, glabrous.
