Description:
Subshrubs; densely woolly with ascending branches up to about 45 cm long. Leaves opposite, to 3 x 2 cm, ovate, obtuse, truncate at base, crenate, thick and tomentose; petioles short. Flowers small in dense spicate, racemes, 7-8 cm long; bracts and bracteoles linear. Calyx tomentose, lobes pointed. Corolla pale blue. Stamens 4, exserted, subequal; filaments bearded; anther-cells confluent. Disk subentire. Ovary 4-partite; style slender, 2-fid with slender stigmatic lobes. Nutlets ovoid.
