Description:
Subshrubs; branches quadrangular, puberulus. Leaves to 8 x 5 cm, ovate, acute at apex, rounded at base, crenate-serrate, minutely pubescent above, scabrous below; petiole 7 cm long, tomentose. Spike to 15 cm long, terminal, solitary; rachis with retrose hairs. Flowers sessile, densely packed, deflexed; calyx 7 mm long, 12-ribbed; lobes hairy; corolla yellow, 10 mm long, lobes obtuse, revolute at apex, hairy filaments 12 mm long, well excerted, hairy at base, ovary rugose, hairy.
