Description:
Slender, quite glabrous shrubs, up to 2-2.5 m tall. Leaves alternate, very thin, petioled, membranous, elliptic-oblong, obtuse, base acute; nerves 6-8 pair, distinct; stipules small, ovate-lanceolate; pedicels much shorter than the leaves. Flowers very small, the calyx -lobes with obscure scarious margins; male flowers often 3-nate. Sepals slightly enlarged but not reflexed in fruit. Stamens 3; filaments free. Ovary 3-celled; anthers didymous; styles short, reflexed, arms recurved. Capsules minute, smooth, coriaceous; seeds ribbed.
