Description:
Small trees or large shrubs, branchlets sparsely tomentose. Leaves to 16 x 4.5 cm, oblong, shortly acuminate at apex, rounded to subcordate at base, glabrous; nerves 6-10 pairs, looping below the margin, reticulate. Flowers axillary, solitary or in fascicles; pedicels 1.5 cm long, hispid.; sepals 3 x 3 mm, ovate, acute, hispid; petals unequal; outer petals 9 x 5 mm, elliptic, acute, hirtus; inner 12 x 8 mm, ovate, acute, concave, thick, hirtus, spreading; stamens many; anthers oblong; connective hooded; ovaries 20, oblong, villous; ovules 1 or 2; stigma globose.
