  Description: Subshrubs, pubescent, intermingled with spreading hairs. Leaves 4-5 x 3-5 cm, orbicular or ovate, apex acuminate, base cordate, margins serrate, stellate pubescent, 7-nerved; petiole to 4 cm long; bracts linear. Flowers axillary, solitary; pedicels 1 cm, in fruits up to 6.5 cm; epicalyx segments 5, 8 x 4 mm, pubescent; sepals connate at base, 6 x 4 mm, ovate, pubescent; petals 9 x 6 mm, obovate, yellow, glabrous; staminal column 7 mm. Schizocarp 8 mm across, mericarps 5, muricate; seeds 2 mm.
