Description:
Diffuse annual herbs, to 15 cm high; bracnches slender, more or lees 4-angled. Leaves opposite, to 3 x 0.5 cm, linear-lanceolate, acute, margins recurved, scabrescent; sessile. Flowers in axillary, peduncled, umbellate, 3-8 flowered cymes; bracts and bracteoles small. Calyx-lobes 4; persistent, teeth narroely triangular, acute, 1 mmm long. Corolla white or blue, funnel-shaped, 5 mm long; lobes 4, papillose out side. Stamens at mouth of corolla. Ovary 2-loculoar; style 2-fid. Capsule didymous, crown prominent; seeds compressed, black and with a ventral cavity, 1 mm across.
