Description:
Shrubs. Leaves opposite, suborbicular to elliptic, rounded to truncate at base, rounded or slightly notched at apex, magins spiny, 1-1.5 x 0.75-1.2 cm, glabrous. Flowers on dwarf shoots, axillary, single or paired. Calyx lobes 2-2.5 mm long, blunt; glands 6-10, elliptic, flat. Petals clawed, margins fimbriate, 7-11 x 3-7 mm, whitish to pale pink or light red. Stamens10, filaments united at base. Ovary 3-celled,; syles 3 free. Fruits with 1 or 2 mericarps, 8-10 mm across, red.
