  Description: Unarmed shrubs, glabrescent to pilose. Leaves in unequal pairs, to 15 x 6 cm and to 6 x 3 cm, elliptic-ovate, membranous, long acuminate, base cuneate, often dentate on the upper half, sparsely pilose, nerves 8-10 pairs; petiole to 6 cm. Flowers white, axillary, clustered; pedicels 1 cm. Calyx tube 2 mm, lobes 5-10, 2-3 mm long, glabrescent to densely pubescent. Corolla lobes 7 mm, pubescent. Ovary 2 mm, style 3 mm, stigma capitate. Berry ca. 7 mm across, red.
