Description:
Stiff subshrub from a woody stock; indumentum closely appressed-villous, golden. Leaves 3 per node or decussate (more when axillary buds are present), narrow oblong, to 2.5 x 0.5 cm, stiff, one-nerved, narrow at both ends, margin recurved, densely white-tomentose below, subsessile. Verticils often 2, subterminal on branchlets; bracts linear, shorter than calyx. Calyx-tube 5 mm; mouth straight, 10-toothed; teeth minute. Corolla-tube 4 mm; upper lip densely bearded with rugose hairs, shorter than lower lip. Stamens 4; filament-pairs 5 and 6 mm. Style 8 mm.
