  Description: Climbing shrubs, stem terete, glabrous. Leaves trifoliate or very rarely unifoliolate by the reduction of two laterals, opposite, subcoriaceous, glabrous; terminal leaflets elliptic or elliptic-obovate, 6.5-10 x 2-4 cm, base acute or attenuate, margins entire, apex acuminate or acuminate-caudate or plicate, venation reticulate; lateral nerves 6-9 pairs, prominently arched and looped near the margin, domatia present on the secondary axils; petiolules 1-2.5 cm long; lateral leaflets ovate or ovate-lanceolate, 4-8 x 1.3-2.5 cm, base acute or rounded, entire at margin, apex acuminate and apiculate; venation reticulate, prominently arched and looped near the margin, lateral nerves 5-10 pairs; petiolules up to 0.4 cm long, glabrous. Inflorescence axillary or terminal cymes, up to 6 cm long, 3 to 5-flowered; peduncles up to 2 cm long, glabrous, terete; bracts subulate, up to 0.4 cm long, pedicels up to 5 mm long. Flowers white, fragrant, up to 4 cm across. Calyx cup-shaped, up to 0.4 cm long, toothed, glabrous. Corolla 4 to 6-lobed; lobes 1.5-1.8 x 0.7-0.9 cm, elliptic-oblong, obtuse and apiculate at apex. Stamens 2; anthers 0.6 cm long, linear, apiculate at apex; filaments up to 1 mm long. Ovary ellipsoid, up to 1 mm long, glabrous; style slender, up to 2 cm long, glabrous; stigma club-shaped. Berries ellipsoid, up to 1.8 x 1.4 cm
