Description:
Large, glabrous twiners. Leaves simple, alternate, to 22 x 10 cm, broadly ovate-acuminate at apex, deeply cordate at base, with rounded lobes. Flowers 1-3, greenish-white, on long axillary peduncles. Sepals orbicular, rounded at apex, glabrous, accrescent, clasping the fuits when young, deflexed later. Petals funnel-shaped, white, tube to 15 cm long. Stamens and style included; capsule subglobose, 2 cm across; seeds 4, black, with dense, minute pubescence all over with longer, sericeous shaggy hairs on the margins.
