Description:
Shrubs, 60-150 cm high; stems branching, reddish, glabrous. Leaves alternate and opposite, crowding towards the apex of branches, 8-10 x 3 cm, elliptic, acute at both ends, crenate-serrate, glabrous; petiole 3-6 cm long, glandular. Flowers 2.5 cm across, axillary, 2-5-together, pedicels 4-8 cm long; lip funnel-shaped, cuspidate; spur 2.5 cm long, glabrous; sepals 5 mm long, linear; standard 10 x 17 mm, orbicular, bilobed above, strongly cuspidate; cusp 6 mm long, curved; wings 14 mm long, 2-lobed, lobes unequal, obtuse, rose. Capsule 25 x 9 mm, ellipsoid, acute, glabrous; seeds 6-9, 4.5 x 3 mm, rugose, hairy, dark-brown.
