  Description: Small trees, bark greyish-white, smooth, thin with vertical striations, branchlets slender, glabrous. Leaves simple, alternate, distichous; stipules lateral; petiole 5-10 mm, slender, stellate-pubescent, swollen tipped; lamina 5-13 x 2-5 cm, elliptic, elliptic-lanceolate, oblong-lanceolate or ovate-lanceolate, base acute or round, apex acuminate or caudate-acuminate, margin serrate, sparsely stellate-pubescent on both sides when young, glabrous when matured; 3-ribbed from base, lateral nerves 4-5 pairs, pinnate, prominent, intercostae scalariform, prominent. Flowers bisexual, yellowish-white, axillary in umbellate cymes; peduncles 3 times longer than petiole; sepals 5, free, 3-nerved, stellate pubescent outside; petals 5, white, ovate, shorter than sepals, often notched; stamens many, inserted on a short glandular torus; style longer than stamens; stigma fimbriate. Fruit a drupe, 1-4 lobed, globose, glabrous, greenish-black when ripe.
