Description:
Erect branched herbs, 30-40 cm high; stem smooth. Leaves opposite, 3-5 x 2-3 cm, ovate, acute, glabrous, serrate, 3-ribbed from base. Heads 4 x 3 mm, many, in axillary or terminal peduncled cymes; peduncles dichotomous, slender; bracts biseriate, 3 x 2 mm, ovate, acute, glabrous; receptacle paleate. Outer row of flowers ligulate, limb deeply 3-lobed, white. Inner flowers tubular, bisexual; corolla 1.5 mm long, 5-toothed; anthers obtuse at base. Achenes 2 mm long, obovoid, truncate, black, 3-4-angled, scabrid; pappus of 3-4 fimbriate hyaline scales.
