  Description: Erect herbs, to 20 cm high; stem narrowly winged. Leaves opposite, 0.3-0.7 x 0.1-0.2 cm, ovate, acute at apex, attenuate at base, sessile. Flowers small, on terminal, 1-2 flowered cymes; pedicels vary short. Calyx lobes c. 0.4 cm long. Corolla tube 0.2 cm long; lobes 0.4-0.5 cm long, elliptic, acute, prominently nerved. Stamens linear, 0.2 cm long. Style 0.3 cm long. Capsules ovoid, 0.4 cm diam; seeds minute, many. Calyx and corolla persistent in fruits.
