  Description: Shrubs, branchlets hairy. Leaves alternate, 7-10 x 3-4 cm, elliptic, apex caudate-acuminate, base acute, entire. Flowers unisexual, in axillary or extra-axillary, short peduncled cymes, densely villous; bracts lanceolate. Sepals 5, 1.5 mm long, ovate. Petals 1.5 mm long, obovate, bilobed at apex, glabrous. Stamens 5, filaments short, anthers ovoid, disc 4 lobed, scale like. Ovary 3-celled, cell 2-ovuled, style 1, trifid above. Drupe 10 mm across, 2-lobed, compressed, rugose; seeds with orange-red aril.
