  Description: Slender climbers. Leaves to 4 x 8 cm, flat above, sub-orbicular, 3-ribbed; petiole 2.5 cm long. Flowers solitary, axillary, 4 cm across; pedicels 3 cm long; calyx 1.5 cm long, deeply lobed to the base; petals 1.5 x 1 cm, ovate, obtuse, white; corona 3-seriate, linear, pinkish; gynandrophore 1 cm long; filaments 1 cm long. Berry 4.5 x 3 cm, oblong, reddish, smooth, 3-valved; seeds 4 x 3 mm, ovoid, prominently and regularly pitted.
