Description:
Climbing herbs; stem ridged, glabrous. Leaflets 1-3, to 12 x 7 cm, broadly ovate, cordate at base, acute at apex, glabrous; petioles to 10 cm long; petiolule smaller, glabrous. Flowers pedicelled, few to many , to 8 cm across; pedicels to 10 cm long; sepals oblong, acute, purplish brown; stamens many, filaments unequal, inner smaller, to 3 cm long, connective produced into a whip; carpels many, densely hairy; hairs erect white. Achenes 4 x 3 mm, ovoid, pubescent; style 5-6 cm long, feathery.
