Description:
Clustering, small diameter rattans; stem with sheaths to 2 cm in diameter and without sheaths to 1 cm. Leaves to 1 cm long; leaf sheath pale green, densely armed with spines, spines to 2 cm long, triangular, yellowish, with numerous small spines in between; knee conspicuous; leaflets regularly arranged, 37 x 2 cm, gradually getting smaller towards the tip. Inflorescence to 2 m long, partial inflorescence to 25 cm long. Fruit ovoid, scales in 17 rows, channeled in the middle, light yellow with white border and brown apex.
