Description:
Tall subshrubs. Stem stout, glabrous. Leaves large, 10-20 x 2-5 cm, lanceolate to oblanceolate, acute at apex, narrowly attenuate at base, margins serrate; petioles 2-4 cm long. Panicles pyramidal, heterogamous, 1-2 cm across. Inflorescence branches and peduncles densely brown pubescent. Involucre bracts many -seriate, outer very small, 0. 0.15 cm long, inner large c. 0.8 cm long, pubescent without. Female flowers many, outer; corolla yellow, filiform, 0.6-0.7 cm long, minutely 2-4 toothed. Bisexual flowers few, middle; corolla tube stouter, 0.5-0.6 cm long, exserted, 0.6-0.8 cm long, arms subulate. Achenes 0.1-0.5 cm long, many-ribbed, softly hairy without. Pappus uniseriate, white hairs, 0.5-0.6 cm long.
