  Description: Large herbs, sparsely puberulus. Leaves to 10 x 4.5 cm, elliptic-lanceolate, apex shortly acuminate, base acute, membranous; petiole to 4 cm. Racemes terminal, one sided, to 5 cm; pedicels to 1 cm; bracts 2 mm, bracteoles 2, calyx lobes 5 mm, lanceolate, pubescent; corolla tube 2.5 cm, lobes 1 cm; filaments 9 mm, hairy towards the apex; ovary 3 mm, hairy, style 2 cm long. Capsule 3 mm, elliptic with a contracted solid base.
