Description:
Shrubs, young branches rusty-villous. Leaves alternate, to 15-8 x 3-5 cm, lanceolate, acuminate; lateral nerves 15-20 pairs prominent, looped near the margin, margins serrate-dentate; petioles 3-6 mm long. Flowers axillary, solitary or in subumbels, bracteate; pedicels 4-5 mm long, slender.Calyx deeply lobed, lobes acuminate. Corolla deeply lobed, lobes lanceolate, acuminate, gland dotted, pink. Stamens 5, inserted on the throat of the corolla, filaments short, connective elongated in to a membraneous wing. Ovary ovoid; ovules many, embed on the placentum, style filiform. Fruit a berry globose, shining, crimson red; seed 1.
