Description:
Erect herb, 25 cm tall. Leaves ovate to ovate- oblong, crenulate, up to 3 cm long, 1.5cm broad; petiole .2 cm. Flowers axillary below, uppermost in leafy heads; 3 outer sepals in fruit lanceolate, one rather larger, hirsute, 2 inner subulate-lanceolate; calyx lobes 1-7 cm long, lanceolate, hirsute; corolla 2-lipped, the tube cylindric; upper lip erect, entire or notched, outermost in bud; lower spreading, 3-lobed. Stamens 4, didynamous. Capsules c. 1.5 cm long, ellipsoid; seeds minutely dotted in lines.
