Description:
Tree; branchlets and tender parts fulvous-tomentose. Leaves elliptic, rarely lanceolate or obovate-elliptic, to 12 x 5 cm, subcoriaceous, more densely fulvous-tomentose below, nerves 5-7 pairs, base cuneate or acute, apex acute to acuminate; petiole 2 cm. Flower cluster compact, of 3-6 flowers; pedicel 4 mm; bracts 5-8 x 4-6 mm, tawny-villous. Perianth yellowish, 5 mm wide; tube 4 mm, villous; lobes 6, ovate, 3 mm, densely villous outside. Staminate: stamens 9. Pistillate: staminodes 9. Berry globose.
